Gala Events, Inc. owners Jaime Greenwald and David Garner have grown up in Montgomery county, and have been able to run a successful event planning business here as well. They wanted to give back to the community that helped bring them success, and decided to donate event decor to a local high school for an extra special prom. We put the word out to local high schools to write us a 250 word essay explaining why they deserved our help for their prom, and after receiving many eligible responses, Poolesville high school was chosen. We met with their prom committee and decided to go with a "club" theme. On the day of the prom, Gala Events loaded up the Marriott ballroom in Gaithersburg with $20,000 worth of club decor including banquette booths, leather wrapped acrylic top tables, a custom DJ booth, silver drape, a custom "The Falcon's Nest" lit sign and much more. Poolesville high school had a record turnout for their prom and the night was a complete success. Check back in soon for pictures of the event.
